The four AP courses and five exams I took in high school definitely prepared me for the rigors of college-level courses. My favorites were the ones that were most challenging — that’s what gets me most excited! And if I had known in high school about the all the benefits I've gotten from AP credit, I would have taken more. Without strong and clear AP policies, students will not be truly motivated to take AP classes in high school, and without those AP classes and credits, some of us may never discover our hidden potential.

Your support of AP credit and placement allowed me to see a part of the world I had always dreamed of seeing and discover where my true passions lie.

The AP credits I received allowed me to skip straight to higher-level, more demanding courses in my major, and make room for minors in physics and Spanish. Being able to pursue extra classes in Spanish meant I had access to a rare opportunity: spending the spring quarter of my freshman year studying in León, Spain. AP credit and placement didn’t just help me focus on areas where my true passions lie; it allowed me to see a part of the world I had always dreamed of visiting.
